Collection Details

Every Haus Stash object is part of a curated exhibit and is identified by its own Object Number, reinforcing its place within the collection.

Each piece is finished with a carefully selected interior color that contrasts with its understated exterior. The interior finish is considered part of the object’s identity and is intentionally chosen to create a moment of surprise each time it’s opened.

No matter where it’s displayed, every Haus Stash object follows the same philosophy:

Below draws inspiration from New York City’s iconic cast-iron manhole covers—objects walked over millions of times each day, yet rarely noticed. Reimagined as a sculptural storage object, it celebrates the overlooked details that give the city its unmistakable character.

Lift the removable cover using the included miniature crowbar to reveal a concealed storage compartment finished in Haus Stash’s signature contrasting interior. Familiar in form yet unexpected in purpose, Below transforms industrial design into a refined conversation piece for the modern home.

Like every object in the NY Minute Exhibit, Below follows the Haus Stash philosophy: the exterior belongs to the room, while the interior belongs to you.
